For millennia, in the history of humankind and ideas, the chapter of Exodus has been passed down from generation to generation to convey universal values.
This is why, beyond the miracles, for those who long for love open to all, “Love is so simple… So possible, love…”
Giuliano Peparini’s staging draws this parallel with all the characters. Each of them is caught in a paradox, where on one side lies the euphoria of their desire or mission, and on the other, the melancholy of their destiny.
“Moses and all the characters, throughout their journey, have a cause they have chosen and that they defend. I wanted to bring this constancy to the stage so it would be the tenuous link between the dancers and the singers. I approached this production with great care and emotion.
First, because the music of Pascal Obispo and the world of his songs have accompanied me for so many years, and I have often found a refuge there to uplift or console me. Then, because the strength of the lyrics by Lionel Florence and Patrice Guirao has entered the hearts of the French people, never to leave.

In my work as a director, I always ensure that the scenes open dialogues between poetry and the spectacular.
The chapter of Exodus is an epic inscribed in our memories. Its universal message transcends centuries, sheds light on each era, and resonates within us when we witness oppression.
