The sixty-ninth Sanremo Festival took place at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo from 5 to 9 February 2019 and was presented for the second consecutive year by Claudio Baglioni, who also curated the artistic direction, alongside Claudio Bisio and Virginia Raffaele.
Claudio Baglioni literally put music at the centre of the show at the Ariston, but not only that: for his second year, the Artistic Director decided to add a dance company made up of 39 dancers and directed by Giuliano Peparini, who performed with him to the notes of his songs.
Of all the performances, the opening songs for each of the evenings were the most noteworthy. There have been several successes by Claudio Baglioni, such as: ‘Via’ on the first night, ‘Noi no’ on the second, ‘W l’Inghilterra’ on the third, ‘Acqua dalla luna’ on the fourth and ‘E adesso la pubblicità’ on the final night.
