Romeo & Juliet

LOVE AND CHANGE THE WORLD (AMA E CAMBIA IL MONDO)

2013 – 2018 | Italy

In the heart of Verona, the theatre of history, the corrosion of a hatred of which there is no memory relentlessly eats away at two noble families:

THE MONTEGUE FAMILY

on one side…

…on the other

THE CAPULETS

Without laws or masters
only living is important
Night and day, every moment
because time is like the wind,

WE ARE.

The most popular love story of all time bears the prestigious signature of Giuliano Peparini for direction and artistic direction, with the music of the Frenchman, Gerard Presgurvic, and the Italian texts of Vincenzo Incenzo.

A first-class cast sets the Shakespearean vehicle in motion on the Italian stage of the Arena di Verona, the natural setting for the two unfortunate lovers.

45 artists on stage, more than 30 dancers and acrobats, more than 200 costumes designed by Frédéric Olivier; 55 production people, 35 of which just for the technical team to manage the colossal staging.

A show that was created to surpass the boundaries of emotion.

BECAUSE LOVING
MEANS CHANGING
THE WORLD.

David Zard

“Rewriting and creating this show has been a huge pleasure and at the same time caused immense pain, because I have never been able to detach myself from this dramatic work and its painful epilogue…

…I cried, I laughed, I got angry; but I loved. I loved waking up every morning and finding the artists with and for whom I created this story that will never die.”

Giuliano Peparini

Details

David Zard insisted on having Giuliano direct one of his shows.

After so many titles proposed and rejected, knowing Giuliano’s weaknesses, David suggested Romeo and Juliet, and their collaboration immediately began.

It is precisely in this show that David Zard passes the baton to his son, Clemente Zard.

‘Romeo & Juliet – Love and Change the World’ has won four awards at the
